I am going to tell you about my favorite place to go for a walk called Dhayiri. Dhayiri has 2 houses. Tanisha and her family live there but now they are staying in town for a few months until the pipes are fixed. They only go there to spend time with the rest of the family.
Dhayiri is a beautiful place where you can feel fresh cool air and you can see a sunrise in the morning but it is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place.
The rocks are too sharp when you walk on the rocks it hurts sometime but enjoying the breeze is much better. My family and I love going out to Dhayiri for mangrove worms, mud mussels, long bums and crabs. There’s a hunting place called second creek that is where you can go hunting for crabs and barramundi, the place is so quiet and you can only hear waves rushing and birds talking.
I learned so much about our culture and for my ancestors, it is more important to know where we come from and who we are so it is good to be around our elderly people who can treat us for who we are and tell us and lead us to the right path and to be braver and more confident through our relationship and traditional cultures.
