In august the maritime vet class went on a trip to Gove. We went there to get the coxswain certificate and learn about the safety emergency on how to be safe on the water when your boat sinks.
We did some towing in straight line back and forth, and also, we did a huddle in a big group.
The interesting part was when I pulled the rope off the life raft, it was also fun because we had to jump in the life raft.
Overall it was good. We had some pizza for lunch than we head back to the airport to go back Elcho Island.
Here is a picture of the maritime students standing at the airport ready for the flight to go to Gove
Then this is us standing at Nhulunbuy swimming pool with the maritime vet teacher (Rob), we are getting ready to put on the life jackets.
This is a group photo of us huddling in the pool, we did this to make sure no one floats away in the ocean.
In this picture is myself and my two mates (Jethro) and (Darren) we are in a life rafts, it was hard to jump in there, so some of my mates had to help me.
This is us having our lunch, we had pizza and there was a lot of leftover pizzas that we didn’t finish.
