Shepherdson has a music room. We learn different skills about music like blues, rock , hip hop and reggae.

The most popular music that we play is from Lucky Dube. His music has easy chords to play and we play it every day. He is a reggae musician from Jamaica and his songs are about soul, weed and slavery. We also play a little bit of saltwater band music.

The band that plays is me, Gerrad, Josh the music teacher, Gerad and Nick. I play the guitar and Nick plays the piano and Gerad plays the bass and the other Gerrad plays the drums and josh the music teacher plays the guitar also.

I like music because when I play it makes me feel good and also laugh. When I finish school I want to be a music player and also I want to make my own songs and take over my father’s music. My fathers songs is about praying to god and also about the great whale hunter and the knife song lines and all sorts of things.
