Hi I’m Chelsea and I’m from Elcho Island (Galiwinku) which is a small island in the Northern Territory 500km from east from Darwin in Australia. I grew up in a outstation called Dhambala which is my mother’s homeland. I’ve also got some family from Torres strait islands from a small island called Saibai, when I was a little girl my mum took me over to Darwin to meet them but I've never got the chance to meet the whole family but one day I would love to go over to Saibai and meet the whole relatives. From my Dad and Mum there are five of us Katrina, Sammy, Simon, Shakira, and myself.
This is our youngest mum she decided to take picture of us. At the back her is eldest sister she’s kinda annoying but we have lots of fun out there while my uncle was cooking turtle.
While Janelle was looking at the water my big sister Kinisha took her picture.
This is my two big sisters babies they are the funniest babies in our family.
These are the girls that were waiting for the bidila cause everyone loves that food mostly my big sister Priscilla, She is the no sharing one she's like a grumpy lady.
Why my family is important because they help support me so I can achieve my goal and get an education.
